Why we like this tour

On this adventure, we'll experience the deepnes of the Dracula Mountains, riding over amazing green meadows, forrest tracks, hills and the high mountains with a good chance to see bears and maybe a wolf. We are riding in stages day-to-day, meaning we will spend the nights in different locations.

Duration and itinerary

This tour lasts for 5 days, with 3 days of riding. The package includes
5 overnight stays including breakfast and dinner. There is no rest day during the stages of the trail. 

On the first day of riding we take a comfortable ride from Sibiu to Sighisoara, here it is said that Count Dracula really lived, through wonderful old oak forests, lunch we will have at the fortified church of Biertan which is one of most interesting historic sites in Romania.

The second day of the tour brings us over hilly landscape over dirt roads and through meadows and deep forest to the heart of the Dracula Mountains. This day offer probably the best landscape you ever road in.

The third day of the tour takes us to the high Dracula Mountains and we spend most of the day riding in the huge forests; here we may encounter bears or at least come across bear tracks. The experienced and physically strong riders among us will get will experience a perfect and really challenging hard Enduro track.

This tour is designed so that even novice riders and riders with medium level skills enjoy the tour. For the more advanced riders, we have longer daily stages and some nice hard enduro tracks so that everyone will be happy and tired in the evening.

The daily stages are divided so that we stop for lunch in a local inn and take breaks in between where we can relax and have a snack to rest and refuel our bodies.

The length of the daily stages are dependent on the level of rider skill and can be around 100 to 200 km long. We do provide an alternative route if riders become tired during the ride, either via gravel and asphalt road routes to the hotel or taking a seat in the support vehicle.

Day 1 – arrival in Sibiu, city tour and dinner in a restaurant in the town

Day 2 - Stage 1 to the Dracula Castle in Sighisoara,; sightseeing and dinner in the old town

Day 3 - Stage 2 riding deep into the Dracula Mountains

Day 4 - Stage 3 touching the high Dracula Mountains

Day 5 - departure from Sibiu, transfer to Sibiu in the morning.

Difficulty level

Our tour guides ensure that your riding level is accommodated during the rides - the difficulty can be easy to medium with extreme in the higher mountains. Beginners and less-capable riders have the option to shorten the distances of the stages, and to opt for small parts on gravel or small aphalt roads. We have different routes in place for less experienced and extreme riders.

Best time for this trail

In Dracula Mountains, ideal weather conditions occur between April and October.

Travel and airport transfer

You will arrive to the Sibiu Airport from where we pick you up and bring you to your hotel in Sibiu where we stay for the first night. Option for a sighseeing walk in the old town of Sibiu. The tour ends in Sibiu..

Accommodation and board

We will stay in comfortable hotels with breakfast. For lunch, we stop at restaurants on the way. Dinner we take in the hotel or go to a restaurant in the city (not included). Drinks are not included.

Management of the tour

Motorbikes, fuel and tyres

On this tour, a rental bike is included. We have KTM and Husqvarna 2 and 4-stroke models available. All bikes are the latest models, professionally serviced, and in excellent condition. The bikes come with tyres in good condition suitable for the ride with mousses and are equipped with closed rally guards, motor skid plate, and fan. Fuel is included in the rent of the bike. For damages on the bike we recommend to close a CDW with 0 deductible (insurance covering all damages caused by normal wear of Enduro riding). We offer an option for new Mitas or Metzeler soft or supersoft tyres.

Participation with your own motorbike

Motorbike service

On this tour, a professional mechanic services the bikes, with the service car meeting the riders at the lunch point and in the evening (where accessible) to fuel up and perform repairs. A spare bike is available. This service is also available for your own motorbike.

Damages on the rental bike

We do not charge for normal wear of the bike (like scratches on the plastics). On this tour an insurance (CDW – 'Collission Damage Waiver) is available which covers damages on the bike. See the terms of business for details.

Mangement of the tour

A tour manager will welcome you on arrival and will be available throughout the whole tour.

Equipment and gear

For this tour a good rain jacket and a backpack with min. 20 liter space is mandatory.

We recommend taking a second set of Enduro clothes with you. 

Payment conditions 

Deposit 800 EUR at booking. The remaining rest is required 60 days before tour start .
