Why we like this tour

You experience the difficulty and the length of the tracks of the Red Bull Romaniacs in a group with a guide who has chicken lines and shortcuts at hand when needed. The group helps together to manage the day.

Duration and itinerary

This tour has a duration of 6 days of which 4 are riding days. The daily stages are between 120 and 150 km approx.

• Day 1 – Arrival and overnight stay in Sibiu
• Day 2 through 6 – Stage 1 to 5 of the Kings Trail Romania, overnight stays in hotels on the way, return to Sibiu on stage 4  and overnight in Sibiu. Luggage transport between the stages
• Day 7 – Departure from Sibiu

Difficulty level

The difficulty level of this tour is high! Physical fitness and at least good or medium riding skills are necessary. We ride on Romaniacs Bronze and Silver Class tracks. Take into consideration that the level of difficulty increases significantly when wet. We are riding on high altitudes, steep up and downhills, into deep valleys and along tight single trails.

For extreme sections, we have so called “chicken lines” prepared and we can shorten the daily stages by cutting out parts of the stage.

Best time for this trail

This trail is possible to do from June through September due to the exposed regions and high altitudes with alpine character we are crossing.

Travel and hotel transfer

The airport for this destination is SIBIU. Pickup at arrival and transfer is included. Approx. transfer time: 10 min. Alternative airports: Bucharest (4-5 hours), Cluj Napoca (2.5 hours), Tirgu Mures (2 hours). Transfer from these airports are not included and can be organized on request.

You will be picked up at the Airport. Please check the info board in the hotel lobby for the daily program and the daily briefings.

Accommodation and board

The standard hotel of this tour on the arrival and the departure day is the Hotel MyContinental in the center of Sibiu. During the stages, we stay in very comfortable hotels in the mountains.

Breakfast  is included. For lunch and dinner (not included), we stop on the way or take in the hotel. Drinks are not included.

Hotel check-in at 2 pm, checkout at 12 pm. The hotels can change on availability.

Not included

Individual arrival and departure, CDW (insurance for the damages on the rental bike), lunch, dinner, drinks, personal insurance, rebooking cover and travel cancellation cover.

Mangement of the tour

A tour manager will be available for the whole duration of this tour. Please turn to him with any question, for info, and with any problem.

Motorbikes, fuel and tyres

On this tour, a rental bike and fuel are included. We have KTM and Husqvarna 2- and 4-stroke models available. All bikes are the latest models, professionally serviced, and in excellent condition. The bikes come with new or almost new tires with mousses and are equipped with closed rallye guards, motor skid plate (for 2-strokes including exhaust pipe guard) and fan.

An option for new Mitas tires (green soft version) can be booked as extra.

Participation on this tour with your own bike is possible. The mechanic service for your own motorbike is still included in the tour price.

Motorbike service

On this tour, a professional mechanic services the bikes, and a service car meets the riders at the lunch point (where accessible) to fuel up and to do repairs. A spare bike is available.

Damages on the rental bike

We do not charge for normal wear of the bike (like scratches on the plastics). On this tour an insurance (CDW – Crash ‘Damage Waiver) is available which covers damages on the bike. See the terms of business for details.

Equipment and gear

Minimum Enduro gear are a helmet, googles, elbow protectors (we recommend a protector jacket), gloves, pants, knee protectors and Enduro boots. 

For this tour a good rain jacket and a backpack with water, snacks and a waterproof mobile phone case are mandatory.

We recommend taking a second set of Enduro cloths with you.
